Philosophy
Our breeding philosophy is to produce cattle that work for profit-motivated commercial cow-calf producers.  I want functional, efficient, problem-free cows and cull rigorously on females to enter and stay in the herd.  I like sound, docile, clean fronted, big ribbed, deep flanked, good uddered, square hipped, wide based cattle with 3 dimensional (length, depth, and width) growth and a moderate mature size.  I like bulls with nuts, butts, and guts!

I believe that easy fleshing, fertile cows that calve early in the season every year are key to profitability.  Have you ever sold calves based on their adjusted 205 day weights?  A cow that calves in the first cycle of your season will produce more pay weight than a cow with superior growth genetics that finds herself lagging later and later in the season, even if her calves grow a little faster.

I like a short, tight calving season.  It makes managing herd health and nutrition easier.  It consolidates your labor requirements for calving so you can move on to other work you need to do.  It results in a more uniform calf crop.

I want to breed and develop cattle that will work for commercial cow-calf outfits in the northwest.  I have no problem turning bulls into steers when they deserve it.  I send them with my commercial calves to the feedlot or sale barn.  I believe I can relate to what commercial producers need because I am a commercial producer.  My passion for the beef cattle industry and love of good cattle has brought me into the seedstock business.  I am young, getting started and absolutely committed to earning a good reputation and building long-term relationships with repeat customers.

Numbers that I believe in "chasing"
-        Pregnancy rate
-        Calves born unassisted and alive
-        Calves born in the first 45 days of the calving season
-        Calves weaned per cow exposed
-        Calf weaning weight % of mature cow weight
-        PROFIT!
